Photographer and naturalist Conrad’s (Konrad Wothe) Reserve in Tanzania Mahale Mountains National Park photographed as a young chimp is trying to become independent. According to the 59-year-old photographer, chimpanzees are gradually moving away from their parents at the age of 6 months, when they begin to move independently. They run off to explore the surrounding world, climb the trees.
