Over Australia and the Pacific Ocean was a total solar eclipse. “Capital” of the eclipse were of Cairns and Port Douglas in the north-eastern Australian state of Queensland – the only major population centers, in which the moon is completely closed Sun. The total phase lasted here a little over two minutes.
