84-year-old Ray Bandar, a former biologist from San Francisco, has spent the last 50 years, collecting the remains of various animals. According to his estimates, the collection includes: 7000 skulls, 200 pelvic bones and countless limbs.
Unusual collector talks about his hobby: “I really enjoy working with the bones. I’m looking for dead animals, I’m not embarrassed by their degree of decomposition, because my goal - not flesh and bone material.” Ray Bandar grew up in Richmond, he began to collect various samples of animals still in junior high. That’s when he got the nickname “Reptile Ray”. As time went on, his passion for collecting bones grew, he is now the proud owner of a vast collection. New exhibits come from the local zoo, museums. The collection also constantly updated after visits Ray in Australia, Africa and Mexico. His house is almost packed bones of various animals.
